New Season 2010-2011
We are nearly at the end of our current season….last session Saturday 26th June. The new season will kick off on Saturday 14th August..with session times as usual 10.15 -11.15 am…fixture matches may over-run these times.
Our weekly subs will remain at £1.00 per session both for training and fixtures.
The under 8s will loose a good number of our group to the 9s/10s group (set by DOB)… below is a list of those who will move up. The 9s/10s will play 7 a side matches from the start of the new season , so this is a progressive and positive step in player pathway development. We wish all the boys and girls moving up next season the best of luck and thank them for all their efforts whilst in the Under 8s group.

Please advise any parents of young kids of school age that they will be made very welcome to join us along with their pals when the new season gets under way in August…
Please ensure all children are properly equipped with studded football boots/shin pads and appropriate clothing to suit the ever changing weather!!!
N.B. Club kit is only issued for fixture matches. They should also bring along their own still water or juice in a suitable container.
In the event of inclement weather we will always try to put out a cancellation message on Radio Borders (appx. by 9.15am on a Saturday morning)……if you are in any doubt…contact any of the coaches as below.
We have a very loyal team of coaches looking after the various age groups …but their will be some changes for next season…

We really do need more volunteers/assistants…particularly at away fixtures. Don’t be shy… if you would like to lend a hand and support from time/time and can be called on at short notice speak to any of the coaching staff. Should you wish to take up coaching or know of anyone who may wish to get involved then full training is available through The Scottish Borders Youth Football Association (SBYFA) and the good news is Ancrum F C pays all the fees!!!
